TRIMS ADMINISTRATOR

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Clothing Production / Manufacturing Trims Administrator to join our dynamic production team. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of trims across all departments - from stock control and coordination to
process accuracy and communication.

 

You will play a key part in maintaining stock integrity, processing adjustments, and supporting the trims team to meet production targets efficiently.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Stock Control

  • GRV (Goods Received Voucher) and process all returned trims for all departments, ensuring records and photos are correctly synced.

  • Manage carton transfers from the warehouse to other destinations.

  • Process carton adjustments in cases of write-offs or discrepancies.

  • Handle stock adjustments for incorrectly entered trims, outwork, piping, stock issued to pattern makers, or cancelled orders.

Trims Administration:

  • Verify daily trim dispatches, update records in Sync, and reconcile planned vs actual movements.

  • Resolve issues raised by trims coordinators and assistants promptly and effectively.

  • Manage incoming trims-related emails - direct queries to the appropriate team and record actions in Sync.

  • Check recons and ensure trims are returned or redirected as required.

  • Chase return trims for cancelled orders and close off related jobs once all materials are accounted for.

  • Follow up on top-up trims and outstanding (red) tasks with the trims department.

  • Coordinate daily truck delivery lists, ensuring timely communication with Production.

  • Review and balance the trims team’s workload at the start of each month, reallocating tasks where necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric plus

  • A qualification in Accounting or Business Management would be preferred and advantageous, given the requirements of the position and duties.

  • Strong EXCEL skills.

  • Accuracy & meticulous attention to detail.

  • Solid understanding of stock controls.

  • Able to work and cope in a fast paced, high energy environment.

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.

  • Confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively.

  • Experience within a production, fashion, or manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Proficient in data entry systems (e.g., Sync or similar ERP software) and Microsoft Office Suite.
